Grand Rapids wouldn't be half as cool if it wasn't for great places like Grand Rapids Art Museum putting on awesome events like Drop-in Studio: Carving Stories!
We're not even joking when we say Grand Rapids Art Museum is probably our favorite art museum in Grand Rapids, located at 101 Monroe Center St NW. This week they’re putting on a fun event, Drop-in Studio: Carving Stories, on Saturday January 06 @ 01:00PM. For more information on Grand Rapids Art Museum, check out everything we know about them or viist them on their Facebook page!
It's basically the biggest event of the year. You can get more info on our event calendar or check out the event description below. RSVP today!
Free for GRAM members, free with admission The next time you visit the Museum on a Saturday, drop in to GRAM Studio and enjoy hands-on art making and gallery activities. January's theme is Carving Stories. See Detroit artist Carl Wilson’s bold, black and white block prints that tell stories about his life and neighborhood in the galleries. Then, head to GRAM Studio and carve a clay block and print an image that tells your story. We are able to offer this program at no additional cost to our visitors thanks to generous sponsorship from Amway US.
